Personal Information CA Networking & Consulting (CAN) uses information that is collected from visitors and customers to personalize and improve our site. We may gather the following types of information:
Submitted Information: Personal Information that is provided by site users. “Personal Information” includes name, address, telephone number, credit or debit card information, email address, date of birth, IP address and the last four digits of social security number. Personal Information is collected when a user establishes an account, places an order on the site, participates in a contest, sweepstakes or on-line survey, or communicates with any of our departments such as customer service, sales or technical services through the site, telephone, email, mail or fax. In some instances, CAN may obtain other names and email as part of any “email a friend” feature.
Web Beacons: CAN (or service providers on our behalf) may collect information from visits to the site through the use of “Web Beacons.” Web Beacons are web page elements which may employ cookie technology that enable data to be recorded about visits to or transactions made on the site. This information is sometimes known as “clickstream data.” CAN may use this data to analyze trends and statistics to improve online experience or customer service. No Personal Information is collected through the use of Web Beacons on the site.
Cookies: Through the use of cookies, CAN may also collect and analyze the IP address used to connect the user’s computer to the Internet; computer and connection information such as browser type and version; operating system and platform; purchase history; confirmation on opened email; and URLs that lead to and around the site including the date and time. Orders: All orders placed on the site, will be required to provide contact, billing, and payment information.
Use of Information Collected CAN uses this information in an effort to improve the site, to provide services and to communicate about information as requested. This information may also be used to target specific offers, to help develop and improve the site, and to tailor the site.
Sharing of Information CAN will not rent, sell or otherwise disclose Personal Information to unrelated third parties without prior consent, except as stated in this Privacy Notice.
Service Providers: CAN may employ other companies or individuals to provide certain services such as analyzing customer lists and data, or performing marketing or consulting services. These third parties (“Service Providers”) will only have access to the information needed to perform these limited functions and are required to provide Personal Information with at least the same level of protection and security as is used on the site. Such Service Providers are prohibited from using Personal Information for any purpose other than that for which such party was engaged and/or as stated in this Privacy Notice. Any Service Providers that use data received from CAN may only do so in accordance with this Privacy Notice.
Credit Card Companies: If an order is placed through the site, the Personal Information provided is transmitted to the applicable credit card company to verify and authorize the purchase.
Marketing Partner(s): CAN may share names and postal mailing addresses with a few carefully selected third party marketing partner(s). CAN will never share any credit card information with any such third party marketing partner(s). Aggregate Information: CAN may provide aggregate information to some of its business partners. This information is used in a collective manner and does not identify individuals in any way. CAN may collect and share aggregate information in order to know more about the general profile of customers.
Shippers: If an order is placed through the site, the name, telephone number and shipping information must be provided to third party shippers such as UPS, FEDEX and the United States Postal Service to deliver the purchase. There also may be instances in which orders are dropshipped directly from a manufacturer or supplier. These drop-shippers are only given the name,postal address, and telephone number for the sole purpose of fulfilling the order.
Third Party Transaction-Level Data: If the site is visited from a third-party website, the thirdparty website may be able to access select information from the individual transaction information. In order to track and credit the transaction, the third-party website may assign a unique code, cookie or graphic which will uniquely identify the user. This will only happen if on a direct link from a third party website to the site. Any transactions made at the site while such a code is active will be reported back to the third party website. Only non-Personal Information will be reported to these websites such as the date of the transaction, the product(s) purchased and the amount spent. Information will not be reported to these third party websites that will allow them to personally identify a user. The presence of a third party navigation bar at the top of any page on the site is an indication that the third party website may be able to see activity on the site.
Links to Third Party Sites: The site may contain certain links to third party websites, such as vendors. CAN is not responsible or liable for the privacy practices or content found on these websites. CAN recommends that the privacy notices of each third party website be reviewed by the user. Links to third party websites are provided solely for convenience and any submission of data to such websites shall be at the user’s sole risk.
Law Enforcement and Protection of Users: To the extent permitted by law, CAN will disclose Personal Information to government authorities or third parties pursuant to a legal request, subpoena or other legal process. CAN may also use or disclose information as permitted by law to perform charge verifications, report or collect debts owed, fight fraud or protect its rights or property as well as those of affiliates, customers, or its users. Users should be aware that, following disclosure to any third party, Personal Information may be accessible by others to the extent permitted or required by applicable law.
Affiliate Programs CAN may maintain relationships with third party affiliate websites. Although CAN cannot control the activities of the third parties that operate such websites, it will cease doing business with any affiliate that engages in abusive practices, including, for example, spam, trademark infringement, predatory means of attracting visitors, or unlawful activities. Children and Privacy The site is a general audience website and is not directed to children under the age of 13. CAN will never knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13 without verifiable parental consent. If a user is under the age of 13, CAN requests that they do not provide personally identifiable information of any kind whatsoever. If CAN becomes aware that a user is under the age of 13 and has submitted Personal Information without verifiable parental consent, CAN will remove his or her personally identifiable information from its files. CAN understands that children may not fully understand all of the provisions of this Privacy Notice or make informed decisions about the choices that are made available to adult users of the site. CAN encourages parents and guardians to spend time with their children online and to be familiar with the websites they visit. CAN does not sell products to persons under the age of 18. If under the age of 18, users are required to seek the consent of a parent or guardian to purchase products from the site.
Security CAN employs 128-bit encryption technology in all areas of the site which requires users to provide personal or account information, including those areas related to online ordering, order status, and contest forms. The site utilizes industry-standard firewalls and Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to allow for the encryption of potentially sensitive Personal Information, such as names, addresses and credit card numbers. However, no computer system is fully secure and there are inherent risks associated with Internet transactions. Users should download the most recent version browser upgrades to have full SSL support.
Corrections/Information If the user’s name, email or postal address, telephone number or other Personal Information changes, it may be updated, corrected or omitted by contacting CAN at support@canetworking.com.

Business Transfer In the event that CAN is sold, has its assets acquired or transferred, whether voluntarily or involuntarily, or merges or becomes affiliated with any other division, individual or entity, any customer information owned or under the control of canetworking.com may be one of the transferred assets. CAN reserves the right, as part of such transaction, to transfer or assign the Personal Information and aggregate information collected from users of the site.
Limitations On Liability In no event will CAN or its affiliates, licensees, or any party involved in creating, producing or delivering the site or its products or services be liable in any manner whatsoever for any incidental, consequential, indirect, special or punitive damages arising out ofaccess, use or inability to use the site, or in connection with any failure or performance, error, omission, interruption, defect, delay in operation or transmission, computer virus or line or system failure (including loss of profits, loss of business or data, business interruption, and damages that result from inaccuracy of the information or inconvenience, delay or loss of the use of the site). The foregoing limitations apply whether the alleged liability is based on contract, tort, negligence, strict liability or any other basis, even if CAN or its affiliates or any other party has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
4. RETURN POLICY FOR ONLINE PURCHASES
Items purchased online from CAN may be returned within 30 days from the date of receipt of the item for a full refund less a 10% restocking fee. Return shipment will be the responsibility of the customer.
Items That Are Defective, Damaged in Shipping, or Incorrect: If an item is returned due to being defective, is not the item that was ordered, or was damaged in shipping, the customer will receive a credit that may then be used to purchase a replacement item in the store or online.
To Protect Personal Data: All personal data should be removed from any returned products. CAN is not responsible for any personal data left on or in a returned product. CAN Discretion: CAN reserves the right to deny any return. Additional exclusions may apply.
5. ONLINE ORDER FULFILLMENT
Item(s) purchased through the site will ship within two (2) business days of receipt of payment. If the item(s) on order are out of stock, they will not be shipped until they have been received and processed into CAN inventory.
Transit Time: All items shall be shipped via ground delivery unless expedited shipping is ordered.
Total Time for Delivery: Total time is based on the amount of time needed to receive payment authorization, order processing, and transit time from the carrier. This can range from 24 hours to 10 days for in-stock items.
